A Good Butt Lube is a Good Idea

If you have ever tried inserting something into the anal canal without a good butt lube, you have undoubtedly found that it is not comfortable or pleasurable in the slightest, not to mention that it isnt easy, either. A good butt lube is one of the most popular enhancers for sexual arousal and stimulation when it comes to anal sex. Since the anus cannot lubricate itself, butt lube is the key to making anal sex more pleasurable. Without anal lube being applied on, around, and in the rectum and anus, things start rubbing and chapping and chaffing, and ouch.

Although there are many different types of butt lube available, many people prefer to use the silicone based butt lube. Water based butt lube is most often non irritating, and there are no chemicals to break down the latex in condoms. However, water based butt lube can contain ingredients that can contribute to yeast infections, so watch where you put that stuff. Water based butt lube also dries up more quickly than the other types of butt lube.

Another type of butt lube is the oil based lube. This butt lube is not recommended for use with condoms and sex toys. The butt lube could also potentially ruin your fave latex and rubber toys, so just remember that oil butt lube and toys just dont play nice. Oil lubes are also not a very popular choice because the oil can coat the rectum and potentially lead to a bacterial infection at the area.

A silicone based lube is a newer kind of butt lube. Silicone butt lubes are safe to use with condoms and latex products, so your sex toys that are not made of silicone will stay safe. Use caution, though, if you have toys that are made of silicone. The butt lube could cause breakdown damage to your special toys. Silicone based lubes also last longer than water based lubes, not drying out nearly as quickly. However, the lube can be hard to wash off, and can still irritate the anus if it is left there for too long.

Almost any drug store or retail owner usually carries different types of butt lube. Feel free to experiment with the different kinds of lube available to find which one for your anal activities is best. It is a good idea, too, to test the butt lube on your skin to test for an allergic reaction to it or oversensitivity.

And, one final word of caution, lube lovers: Make sure your partner knows that anything that has been in or near the anus, whether it is his penis or your vibrator, can NOT go into your vagina until it has been washed very well. Many people develop bad infections after something went from the anus to the vagina, depositing plenty of germs there that dont belong. So keeping these things in mind, when you are ready to venture into the world of butt lube, you at least have a good start on deciding which one to try first.
