Surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, the Northwest is the ideal place for numerous beach activities. Ocean beaches bounding in this region are untamed and rough which make it more suitable for storm watching, kite flying and beachcombing.

Few pleasant implications for a grand beach experience

Visit the Coasts of Lone Ranch Beach in the Oregon coast, with its collection of sea stack. It is about four and half miles to the north of Brookings, extending from the ocean. Watch the amazing color change because of the light, cloud and sun changes.

Several picnic benches are available along the sea shore; enjoy the scenic beauty of the ocean while you eat there. You can feed the seagulls or enjoy watching the sea lions. Have fun along the shoreline by swimming and kite flying. There is so much to do at the beach.

Another recommended place would be Cape Arago, a home to a number of marine creatures and traveling here is a great occasion to watch these marine mammals live their lives. There are tidal pools of small sea life which is best seen during low tides. You can also capture a picture of this panoramic sight of marine life. It is advised to travel with your partner during your exploration, in case you encounter surprising challenges or get stung in the tide pool.

Explore in the cape sandy beaches and ragged cliffs. The offshore rocks are full of a variety of seals and sea lions. The best time to visit is during winter or early spring as you get a chance to view the great migrating gray whales.

Great occasions for fun filled picnics, fishing, hiking and wildlife watching is offered here which is surely a great way to spend a weekend away from the worries of life.

Think about going on a beach trip in Sunset Beach, it is also found on the Oregon Coast. It is 110 miles west of Portland, taking on highway 101 at sunset beach leads you here.

Ever tried kiteboarding before?

Ocean kiteboarding is considered as an extreme sport in this area and it as a very popular sport here. There is room for maneuvering and you can also expect few wipeouts. You can also choose from kite landboarding, kite-buggying to good old kite flying. Everyone love to fly a kite, right?

Another place to go for beach tripping is Washington. North and South are the two split up ocean beaches, which is more than 50 miles apart. South beaches are the wide sandy beaches, which are on the long stretch beach peninsula. But the northern parts are rugged and rocky, yet both north and south are ideal spots for a beach break.

It also claims to be the longest coastline in the world with the length of more than 26 miles. Catch a glimpse of its awesome beauty and enjoy driving along the shoreline.
