Some women rely on the advice of their Mother when learning to apply cosmetics. The cosmetics beauty guides might be learned early in life when the child watches a parent apply cosmetics while getting dressed to go to work. A small child will be mesmerized by the color combinations that are used on the eyelids, and the creamy texture of the lipstick that makes Mom want to kiss a cheek after applying it every morning. Blotting lipstick is one of the first cosmetics beauty rituals that a little girl will remember and look forward to experiencing every morning.
