The things to look out for are how crowded the health club is, number of equipments they have, maintenance of the equipment and customer service.

Amenities and facilities:

If you are planning to spend most of your day in the health and fitness club, look out if they cafeteria, comfortable lounges and reading rooms to spend your leisure time. Also look out if they have any kind of meeting room where you can meet new friends and expand your social network.

Cost and contracts:

This is the most important aspect. Find out exactly what the membership fee includes; personal training, use of equipments, pool, dining services, towel services, child care services, lockers, etc and how much cost for extra services. Some health club has one time membership fees and some health clubs have annual memberships. Find out the cost; inquire for different packages available so as to enable you to choose the best package based on your needs and budget.
