Settling For A Manageable Cutting Shears

I have been in the hair styling business for quite a long time. I am very persistent with all that is happening in the industry right now. I know it is not easy for the whole economy right now and people thinks that putting up or managing a business like a hair salon is no longer practical.

I really want to succeed in this field. I really wanted to establish a name in the industry like my idol Vidal Sassoon. I really like his success story. I know it is not easy to rise from all the hardship he had to go through being born from Jewish parents. It is quite a wonder how he was bale to mark the hair care industry even if he was actually from the military! Life indeed is a wonder. Maybe none of us would ever think he had to go to the battle fields before in the Second World War, But he did!

But his life and hardship as a Jew is not really the core of why I like to emulate him, it is because it is a wonder how he was able to make his distinguishing mark in the hair industry. Perhaps when you ask a hairstylist who Vidal Sassoon is, you would get information overload. There are just as many little Vidal Sassoons as there are hair salons in the world.

I have a favorite quotation that was delivered by Vidal Sassoon:

Hair is natures biggest compliment and the treatment of this compliment is in our hands. As in couture, the cut is the most important element, haircutting simply means design and this feeling for design must come from within. And the only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary. These lines touch me as a hairstylist. I think being a hairstylist is a noble act.

With this I say kudos to my cutting shears. These cutting shears are my core. Ever heard of a hairstylist that does not have a cutting shears? Perhaps you never have.

The cutting shears perhaps is the most basic and the most important tool that a hairstylist could own. My cutting shears are a bit old. Would you believe I have never replaced my cutting shears since I started?

Yes this is by how much I owe my respect to this tool perhaps no other person but the hairstylist could appreciate. My cutting shears is the best in the world for me. Why? Well not only that my cutting shears have sentimental value for me, these cutting shears are also by Vidal Sassoon.

The money I spent for these cutting shears is hardly earned. I spent lunch less days just to have these cutting shears. I never really had regrets for buying them because they stayed with me for so long. With my cutting shears I also feel like I am closer to Vidal Sassoon. Maybe I am still far from reaching the hiatus in the hairstyling industry. Maybe I am still miles away from being the next Vidal Sassoon but I will not give up. For as long as I have my cutting shears, I now my dreams would still be a reality someday!
