What You Need To Know About A Get Well Gift Basket

Your presence and a warm and wonderful gift basket can really hasten the good health of a person. As it is, the Get Well gift basket does not only reassure the sick that he or she is remembered and important, it also encourages him or her to positive feelings which can greatly contribute to his or her recovery, knowing that you really took time and effort to prepare, not just a gift, but a basket!

Your basket can take the form of different gifts. You can be traditional and send the usual flowers. Fill your basket with a variety of bright and warm-colored flowers, like flowers in red, yellow and orange. Or, you can put a teddy bear or any stuff toy, with a printed Get Well on its shirt maybe, inside the basket. Then add a nice Get Well card or note, stuck on the front surface of the basket. You can even be creative and paint the basket with colorful designs and a Get Well sign.

You can also be personal by sending a basket filled with the persons favorite things. If this is your choice, you can either go on a theme or go on a combination. If you decide on the former, you can go on a book theme by putting in the basket a collection of inspirational or motivational literature, or books of the persons favorite author. Or, you can go on a records them by giving a collection of CDs of calming and inspirational songs, which he or she can listen to on the discman while recuperating. This is another way to go about the theme-inspired: if you know the person is a soccer fanatic, you may put together just about any kind of stuff like a shirt, a tie, a hanky, a mug, a frame, etc, with soccer ball prints on them.

By combination, you can put together just a variety of stuff which the person likes, such a book of his or her favorite writer, a CD of his or her favorite artist, a bottle of his or her favorite cologne or perfume, etc.

Still a personalize gift basket is the food gift basket. You can then fill the basket with the persons favorite food. It would be much better if the dishes are home-cooked, knowing the person is probable sick of hospital food. But before you do so, consult first the persons family or doctor. If the person is placed under a certain diet, you can still give a food basket by putting only food stuff allowed by the persons dietician.

Whatever you choose to put inside your gift basket, do not forget to choose a good basket. You can decorate the basket itself. This will all the more make your gift all the more personalized. You can hand paint the basket yourself, and for this you need a plain basket, or you may look for a simple but varnished basket and put a variety of adornments on it. You may tie small balloons on the handle of the basket, with a short streamer with a Get Well on it tied on the balloons strings. Or, a you may opt to let the basket stand for itself, for as long as the basket is very presentable. Just do not forget to attach your Get Well note or card.

Your Get Well gift basket will effectively send your positive message to the recipient, and, no doubt, will also make him or her feel how lucky he or she is to have you as family or friend!
