Why Are Country Cars Still Popular?

Country cars are also known as antique cars or vintage cars in the United States. These are essentially defined as cars that have a 25 years old more time span, notably, cars that were made or released 25 or more years ago. Car manufacturing has come a long way and in the technology of today, cars can be stated as being part of our daily living now.

We now enjoy breathtaking technology in newer model cars and there is a tendency to look down or even totally overlook vintage cars. For example, in yesteryears, cars predominantly ran on gasoline, but today there are cars that run on water, electricity and even bio-fuels.

These are called hybrid vehicles and are geared to take over the auto industry in the coming years. Cars also also solely made by robots today with minimal human interaction during the manufacturing process.

Cars now spot remote controlled interfaces, multi-heat systems that heat the front and the back seat at different temperatures, DVD/Blue-ray players, bars, pool machines and all more. But in spite of these advancements, there are still a lot of people who are loyal to country cars and who go to great lengths to look for them and buy them. So why are country cars still popular?

First of all, its the way they are or were made. Today cars are made almost entirely by robots and lack the old fashioned "human touch" that many still crave. They are made this way because of technological advancements in robotic technology which emanates almost entirely from the US and Japan.

It is not difficult to see the human element of creating cars confined only to creative and design aspects of vehicle production. Everything else including the packaging is done by machines. Country cars on the other hand, originated from an era where manufacturing plants were staffed solely by real humans and vehicle manufacture was an art.

The people who worked in vehicle manufacturing plants had a passion for what they did and held their position with esteem. Because of this, there are many people today who feel that vintage cars had a touch of quality and dignity that lacks in modern cars.

Another reason why they are still popular is because of the way they look. Car design has undergone a total transformation to the extent that makes and models made 30 days ago are radically different from the ones that are made by the same companies today even thought they are the same models.

This gives them a certain romanticism to them because they possess a rare look which causes the car to turn heads when it passes. Men in particular, attach a certain sense of sex appeal when it comes to cars especially when that car is an antique car.

One of the downside to country cars is to do with parts. For people who live in the United States and the West, this may not be an issue but the issue of spare parts can become an issue in many other parts of the world especially if the car is an import.
